Episode 94: THE GREEN BAKER

Part 1

Angelique
Hey everyone, it’s Angelique Luna and I’m here with my co host hub spin adventure extraordinaire because we’re somewhere else

John
podcasting. We’re actually in someone else’s studio. And it’s it’s, it’s kind of cool and weird because I don’t have to worry about the equipment.

Angelique
I know someone else is handling the board. Oh, we were super excited. And we’re so spoiled now. But it’s like, I’m checking out their studio and I’m like Ganga beach. I want your studio

John
on the beach.

Is it radio?

Angie
Ganja beach radio

Angelique
Ganja beach? Oh, great. Again, there goes my friends and then sociation but let me introduce you to the fabulous green Baker. Hello. Hello. Hello. Yes, finish up your introductions because we’re winging this big time. That’s this. This is one of my

Angie
usually what happens when I come in. It’s like, you know, all of a sudden it’s like what? What plan Okay, let’s do this.

That’s the fun though. Hashtag Gemini. Thank you. Um, yeah, so I’m green Baker, aka Angie you know IRL name. So I am the owner, creator, head, posh washer, all of that of the green Baker LLC. So you can follow me on Instagram. I’m at the green dot Baker on Instagram and I’m also in on Facebook at the green Baker LLC. You know, I started out specializing in edibles and now I’ve kind of like exploded it to this whole like kind of cannabis lifestyle. So I am doing a podcast to educate people, I am doing events to advocate. So really, it’s all about like educating D stigmatizing and advocating for the responsible use of cannabis. So that’s kind of what I do 20 years of a chef, so I have all that behind me. Um, and yeah, so it’s been an amazing little carpet right here, you know, in the cannabis world.

John
So the chef part came first set part came first, I guess. timeline here and then it came to oh wait a minute. We can put more than just flour in our cooking That

Angie
is correct. We can put green flour in our

Yeah, I started off as a chef I went to school actually right here in West Palm Beach very close to contra beach radio studio and and so I went to school I graduated, started working, works here, went on boats came back did a whole bunch of crazy stuff, you know, I’m crazy and fun, please let’s not forget the fun

Angelique
about the fun all the time.

Angie
If it ain’t fun, why are we doing it? Right? So, did all of that stuff came back started working kind of adulting which kind of sucked, you know, and yes adulting I had a child you know and and so you know, just kind of trudging along being an adult and, and then my son was born with cerebral palsy. So he has cerebral palsy and also hydrocephalus. So Yeah, so you know, really trying to understand like, not only dealing with my own trauma as a parent and a caregiver of a child with special needs, I’m using cannabis in that way. But then also understanding how I could use cannabis for him and his quality of life. And so in this kind of journey of, of wanting every possible tool for us to use to have a better life, cannabis was one of those things, and I was like, I’m a fucking chef. Wait, can I curse? Yeah. She was, like, sexy. No, not like language. But anyway, um, you know, the above all of the check all of the boxes, um, you know, and so in that journey, I was like, I’m a fucking chef, like, I’ve been doing this for years. I know what I’m doing. I’m great at what I do. Like, and obviously my son is not going to be rolling up smoking a joint, you know, so I had to figure out other ways for him to medicate. And so food was just a very natural kind of like segue and, and in wanting to do something for him, I found that so many people needed it. Yeah so now it’s my life’s mission

John
the whole opinion on cannabis I’ll say in the last five to 10 years has changed obviously getting legal for medical use which is a

whole clusterfuck in Florida This is the only way

Angelique
the United States

Angie
just just throw the whole country away she’s like let’s just start from scratch

Angelique
Yeah, exactly. It was just Colorado started the wave and yeah, we’re

John
gonna catch a did but Colorado did it for recreational and it’s currently not recreational for Florida no ballot it is on the ballot vote. It is just

Angie
your hashtag voting is cool,

John
medicinal purposes but they’re still trying to fight it and honestly to open up a place to sell and grow is become so hard

Angie
Oh, it’s impossible here in Florida you you cannot for a recreated hopefully look, see things change or whatever get recreational but if you wanted to get in right now and sell like say, Hey, I’m a baker, I’m really great at baking things. I don’t know anything about plants, I’m not gonna have a farm, I’m not gonna have a, like, I’m not gonna grow shit, because that’s not what I do. But I can cook it, I could not be able to do that here in Florida because of vertical integration. So you here in Florida, you have to own everything from seed to sale. So like if I was a baker and I said, Hey, I just want to be a baker and deal with cannabis and bake. So I could not do that. I would have to own it from the minute it’s in the ground, growing it cultivating, drying, everything, breaking it up all of it all the way until the customer, no one has that kind of money. lying. So people have that kind of money. I don’t have that kind of money to be able to do that. And so that’s why there’s this huge monopoly on the medical marijuana industry here in Florida. Because only big companies with very large budgets and very large capacity to take care of something from beginning to end. is able to get and if you can even afford the license and if you even get a proof of license because you can submit for a And, but they don’t have to give it to you, you know. So after jumping through all of those hurdles, the ordinary person IE meaning myself as a baker, a person who is an event planner, a person who sells clothing and wants to use you know, hemp, whatever at that time because now you can which is great, thank you so much. You know, but if you were just a farmer and you were like, I just want to farm it, I don’t know how to put it into something I don’t know how to you know, when you couldn’t you cannot do that

John
on the whole process

Angie
on the whole entire process. And so that is what people really were rebelling against. They were like wait a minute, what of course I don’t want to be you know, and so it kind of monopolize that and so we’ve kind of had to just be like, it is what it is, you know, and kind of let it go and so now with hemp, we’re seeing with the you know, addition of Nikki freed as our Director of you know, Department of Agriculture, and then she hired Holly Bell shortly thereafter. She is very, very, very pro cannabis. She is nice. He came in on that. She was ran on that platform Okay, so she is a medical marijuana patient so she understands and sees what’s happening here in Florida and so with him, they kind of changed that a little bit so you can now get a food permit if you are infusing food or any sort of like product with hemp oil, which we know is the cousin of cannabis. You know, there’s two sides to it, you have hemp and then you have you know, a marijuana which is it’s both marijuana, but it’s two different types. You know, hemp will not get you high, it will not it doesn’t create the psychoactive effect. But it still has all those wonderful cannabinoids and whole plant and all of that that’s really, really great for you. So, so they’ve been really great about being able to, to put that into place for people now,

John
you know, that’s, that’s that’s honestly, I never knew that the difference. I knew there was HAMP and I’ve seen like hemp clothing and places. Mm hmm. So it’s basically almost the same plant but doesn’t have the psycho

Angie
active part of it. Yeah, yeah. It’s the same plan. It’s like literally, the only difference is how like one will get you Hi One won’t. And then there’s different trains just like there’s different plants, of course, industry industrial style hemp. So agriculture is really being impacted by that. But the retail side of it is just now kind of starting to get on because they’re allowing, you know, permits for that. Wow, that’s it’s a lot of fun. And if you want to know more, please go to the green Baker podcast. I talk a lot about that I have different guests on. You know, Ganja beach radio is also a really great resource, they stay up to what’s going on here locally. So please follow either one of those accounts. And you can get a little bit more information about what’s happening here locally in Florida, and there’s some really great resources out there.

John
You know, that’s something we really I’ll say, right out there. We’re very sex positive. We don’t use it, but no, but we support it greatly because we’ve seen people who need it, people who need it medically to get through the day. And it’s not people like you think Who are you know, the 60s version of it getting dressed up with flip flops and haven’t showered in a few days. This is this is so much the population owners

productive stores. I’m

no but I like that

octave zoners Yeah, yeah, there’s

Angie
no longer about just laying out on your couch and just you know, we get done here.

Angelique
Yeah, we have functional alcoholics and you have production stone, right?

John
But a functional alcoholic is still a problem. I’m productive. stoner I don’t find is a problem because there aren’t ongoing benefits of sorry, ongoing problems once you’re off. Like once you smoke and it’s processed. That’s it, it’s gone. It’s not like alcohol, where it’s sitting in your system, you start craving it, it starts destroying your body, it doesn’t have those negative side effects. So it’s interesting. So you started on it, like I said, with your son, and he’s doing obviously better with it on He’s

Angie
great. He’s amazing. He’s loving now and, and he’s just, he’s, he’s awesome. He’s much more forgiving.

And luckily, he was mommy’s cooking. So you know,

Angelique
kids always the first guinea pigs. Yeah, man.

Angie
I know a couple

Angelique
of us. So producers that it’s like throw their kids into it. Yeah, like one kid actually ended up purple.

Angie
Oh, wow, that’s a bad thing. I like the color purple.

Angelique
Yeah, but it’s like one of those things it’s like mom I’m done being the guinea pig trying

Angie
Willy Wonka you turn to blue?

John
No, but we are because I know my mom. We were her first barber experiments. She had never cut hair before. And it would be like no your left a little higher your rights a little higher. Your left a little higher. The rights a little higher. Where did five inches of my hair go?

Angie
Yeah, man, that trial and error is everything. Shout out to everybody’s kids for being you know, troopers. Man.

John
They don’t have a choice. But thanks for sticking with us. That’s right.

So, so this was again, a little bit off of what we normally talk about what we do, but we wanted to bring it around and say how have you incorporated CBT into your intimacy and into your sex life and you I know you have again, I can see the head nodding up. Yeah, I got plenty of stories here.

Angie
Yeah one that’s gonna embarrass the hell out of your new soundboard engineer But yeah, I do I do have a great really good story

Angelique
as they roll their eyes big time.

Angie
You know, I think CBD um you know, I am a very big advocate of the whole plant so I also include THC that’s why I use the word cannabis because it incorporates everything which is THC and CBD. And you

John
know and for those who don’t know, the THC is the part that gives you the little whoo Yes, yeah,

Angie
yes that is what is the psychoactive part of the cannabis plant so there’s still a lot of research happening but you know, the benefits of balancing those two is really gives you the most medicinal effects. So I believe in whole plant I believe in both having the choice as an adult, a grown ass person, a whole grown person to be able to say whether I want to get higher, I don’t you know, and so, you know, yes, I have used Cannabis for pleasure. Um, and you know, I think for me personally and you know, I won’t speak for anyone else’s, you know, narrative or experience, you know, because once again, this is something that we don’t know a lot about still and we do know that every single person’s body is different, every single person’s metabolism, every single person’s bio chemistry is different, you know. And so what works for me may not work for you, but I can say that no matter what differences there are, we all have an endocannabinoid system. So as human beings, we have it everywhere in our body, different receptors, nerve receptors all over our body. So no matter what your metabolism, your biochemistry is, we all do know that we have that basic makeup. So cannabis is made for that system, you know, so that’s why it’s natural. You know, we don’t have any, like you were saying those side effects doesn’t continue to deteriorate our bodies, because our body was actually meant to have these endocannabinoids in our system. So um, It is nerve, you know, it’s neural neurology or logical, you know. And so I think for me a lot of my, a lot of my hang ups and a lot of my anxieties and a lot of my things are really tied to me not being able to shut my brain off, you know, and so cannabis really does help with that a lot. Whether it’s CBD or THC, it helps you to kind of relax, you know, it helps to stimulate a lot of those nerves. That’s why CBD is really great for inflammation, you know, so it helps to maybe relieve some of those aches and pains that you’ve had so you can actually enjoy what you’re doing right um, you can shut your brain off a little bit and kind of like be in the moment and be present. And I know that that’s really difficult for a lot of women to do. JOHN no knocking you you’re gonna die here. But you know, for us women who have so many things on our plate, we’re constantly being pulled out constantly being demanded of constantly giving constantly doing to be able to have something where We can just you know, like there’s nothing happening you know, but being in this moment and just really being so in touch with our bodies and so in touch with the moment, it can be pretty amazing. And I will tell you a really funny story really quick. So my wife who is here she’s working your your soundboard. She’s not talking because she’s the engineer, but um, you know, we both partake you know, and so I’m in the business I’m you know, I need taste testers, you know, so it’s like another guinea pig Yes, I’m like, do you try this out taste all of these things that I’m you know, making and

John
like crazy doing anything tonight? No, eat this.

Angie
Yes. Put this in your mouth.

Angelique
Let me sit down and see the results. And

Angie
absolutely, you know, I am my first guinea pig but sometimes I need a second opinion, you know, to observe

Angelique
my site

Angie
very much And she really does enjoy being used as an Excel. So, you know, I think I was like trying some tries. So like, Okay, all right, I’m tired, you know, we go to lay down, and it was just like, you’re just so in the moment, it’s like, everything feels so good. Everything feels so like, and, um, and so I’m just like, we’re like in the bed and it starts off as like just cuddling, like, we’re going to bed, you know? And then all of a sudden, it’s like, two minutes later, we’re like air humping in the bed. And we’d like nothing came out. No vibrators, no dildos, no nothing. It was just all just us rubbing against each other. And it was amazing. And so in the morning, you know, I wake up and I’m like, Why do I feel like I had sex last night? Like this is crazy. You know, she’s like, we didn’t

John
have like last night.

Angie
But I think that’s so indicative of just being in that moment and just enjoying your body and enjoying those sensations and those feelings that cannabis can help bring out. You or your partner, you know, so, yeah, it’s pretty great that she’s smiling.

Angelique
Yes, definitely. Ooh. So we’re going to take a quick commercial break because we have seen our sponsors that pay us very well. And we’ll come back as

John
well. We’ll come back and tell you more.

Angelique
Bye bye. Well back

Part 2

Angelique
And we’re back after non stop laughing.

John
Well, there’s something I want to talk about. It’s funny, you mentioned that because I actually just wrote an article on mindfulness, which again, ties into Tantra, which is something we do workshops on. And

Angie
I’m super excited about your class tonight. Actually, I’ve had customers write to me, and they’re like, could you suggest and I’m like, please reach out to us, like positive be there great thing,

John
and we’ve had people reach out that aren’t in the area, but want to know what to read. Mm hmm. Yeah, we’ve suggested some books. But one of the big things I got out of Tantra is something they called Mindfulness, which is this big, huge I always break it down because I am not a real person.

Angelique
Not at all.

John
Oh, I totally.

Angie
Yes, but Oh Ha.

John
But for the non Google person, all mindfulness means is focus. It means getting all those and I’m gonna, I’m gonna quote Midori over here. Thought squirrels out of your head. You talk squirrel, squirrel,

Angie
squirrel hamster on that wheel.

John
But it’s when you’re. And the truth is, that’s what I had when you’re like, the worst part is when you’re talking to someone, you ask a question. And all of a sudden they start answering. And there’s that thought squirrel of did I did I call mom? Did I shut off the stove? Did I pay that credit card bill I was supposed to. And by the time you’re done with that, you come back you’re like, Fuck, I just missed the answer. I look like a dumbass.

Angelique
I miss the opportunity to connect.

John
And that sucks in conversation. It sucks in dating, but it sucks even worse when you’re trying to have sex. And your your mind is just not there. And we live in a society where so many people were just we’re pushed like you said it is not just women. It is meant to who have multiple jobs plus family plus kids. Yeah, plus paying the bills plus, doing all the other stuff we try or want to do in our lives. So at the end of it, trying to clear our mind and say I need to be here in this moment is a very hard thing many people have to do. It’s very, like I said very, very hard and a little chemical assistance. would definitely be appreciated

Angie
natural chemical, this is natural, because, you know, we use a lot of other assistance, you know, alcohol, weed, you know, cigarettes, cigarettes, food, you know, we use a lot of things that are not maybe the most, you know, healthy to quiet that to feed that, you know, and get it off your back for a bit. So you can, you know, so I think, you know, and not to mention, you know, all the pharmaceuticals that are out on the market right now that people use, you know, from, you know, Prozac to Ambien to, you know, all kinds of things. So, you know, to think that you could replace all of those things with a plan. That’s pretty dope.

Angelique
I mean, there’s a lot of things we could replace with plants, but of course, you know, big pharmaceuticals and the almighty dollar won’t accept that because, you know, we’re going back to the old ways which shamanism and you know, all the friggin witch doctors got burned at the stake because it’s like, they didn’t understand that. We understood the This little properties of all the various different plants, and I bet you 100% there’s some plants out there that could probably cure cancer, cure diabetes, cure ADHD and all that. But because we’re in a society, we want things quick and fast and have no patience, or been continuing down this trend. And then instead of being proactive and eating natural fruits and earth foods, then versus guilt, quick service, you know, we’ll keep going that way.

Angie
Yeah, yeah, definitely.

Angelique
So tell us um, I know February is the love month. We know how much I do not like romance. It is.

Angie
Valentine’s Day, man.

John
You know what, for Valentine’s Day We stood at home. Yes. Okay. I cooked Philemon, neon. Cheetos. Oh my gosh, we stood inside and we just enjoyed ourselves because the previous four days we were doing something

Angelique
and then next two days afterwards, we were doing Something so

John
yeah, that one times day doesn’t have to be going out. And also it doesn’t have to be an orgy love fest. It was just a very intimate evening home alone, which was really sometimes needed.

Angelique
Yes doing nothing because I’m always on the go because you know, with the podcast, teaching classes going out not working, you know, so it’s like, No,

John
no, no, I’m getting back to the part where you said you’re not romantic. No, I’m not. You’re highly sexual.

Angelique
Yes. Sexual.

Angie
Sex and romance. Two different things.

Angelique
Yes, yes. Remember? Sex and intimacy are not the same.

John
No, no, no, absolutely. Right. They’re not I’m just saying, you know, the podcast name is sex positive mean, you’re like, I’m not romantic. Just fuck me.

Angie
Yes. And she should have the ability to say that and say proudly. Okay, yes, she shows.

Angelique
Yes, absolutely. I

Angie
don’t need you to be rubbing me down. Just fuck me really hard. And then let me go to sleep.

John
Okay, you know, sometimes that’s what a girl wants. But but but here’s the thing and this is one of the reasons I was very interested in interviewing at the And of cannabis, do you go to sleep?

Angie
Yes. And I sleep very well,

John
because one of our in consistencies is when I’m Oregon when I’ve had my orgasm and she’s had hers. I’m done. She is energized sex. More sex. It’s like a it’s like almost an addiction. More sex wants her to have more sex. Yeah,

Angie
actually, I’m kind of like that, too.

We had a quickie yesterday. And that was amazing. For the first time in like seven years

John
so quickly, like 30 minutes.

Angie
No, like,

I was like, wow, we actually did that in 10 minutes. I’m so proud of you. You know, because it Yeah, yes. And sometimes it’s like, you do just need that like, okay, I just need that really. But you know if it was up to me, but yeah, it just feeds into like, you just Okay. All right. Can I go again? One more time. Come on. You got it. Ah, wait, no, no, no, I think I’m getting a second When can we do that again.

Angelique
Let’s see. I can’t function very well with Barney something. like okay, I’m good he’s like I need two more minutes. Okay, go ahead.

John
Oh, it all depends how late tonight I know if I get to bed by 10 you get morning sex keep me up to one you probably not getting morning sex.

Angie
Yeah I love morning sex. That’s my favorite.

Angelique
Yeah so back to the February menu that’s where I was trying to do you didn’t base on the Orisha goddess. Oh, shoot. Yeah, yeah, explain the menu because that was

Angie
you know, the really cool thing is is like working for yourself. You can like pretty much put a middle finger to the man be like, I’m gonna do whatever I want. You know. So that’s pretty much what I did. I was just like, you know, we celebrate Valentine’s Day. But I think you know, and I think people are looking for alternatives. I think that’s why we see Palin tines and gallon times and because we’re beginning to realize that it’s no longer just about this. Two people looking at each other and it’s only us. People are beginning to learn Understand that relationships are much more nuanced they’re much more you know, there’s more importance being put to whatever your intimate connection looks like and whether that’s friendships whether that’s you know, pals whether that’s you know, polyamorous whether it’s you know, you have a throttle because I know that’s kind of the new term now I’m getting thrown around by a lot.

Angelique
Bravo, bravo. Yeah,

John
yeah, I know. I know a trio.

Angelique
trio. tree as a triad is a triple now.

Angie
Yeah, so it’s mixing a triad and couple your throttle dapple adding third couple

Angelique
I know it’s like thanks to the media. Because HGTV like introduced that.

Angie
Oh, yeah, I read that article. Yeah. Arms about

Angelique
trying to watch the show and I can’t find it but I’ve been busy too.

John
I have a serious problem with HGTV and we TV and all those other little TVs

Angelique
is the most horrible bad addiction because they have the most

Angie
Any day fiance oh my gosh married at first sight oh man I just

John
Addicted to Love was at lockup love.

Unknown Speaker
Oh love after lockup Yeah.

John
I’m waiting for polyamory in prison.

Angie
I think you might have pitched them something there.

Angelique
That should be under extreme love so extreme love Yeah,

John
that’s right. That one I love you but I’ll shrink it anyway.

Angie
I only got shanked once Why did I only get one time? You know? Yeah.

John
Feeling neglected in that relationship? Yeah,

Angie
absolutely, absolutely. You know, I mean, I think we’re beginning to come to this place where people want alternate modes of intimacy, you know, and I think we’ve, we’ve we for a while, we went all the way kind of on one side where it was like, you know, Amber Rose and kind of like reopening the word slut and reopening like what that meant and not being ashamed of ourselves and not being shamed of our bodies are what we chose to do or who or how we chose to share that with people, you know, and I think now we’re coming back to kind of this other side where it’s like, we still want to have that freedom to share and do whatever we want. But it’s not going to look in a traditional way we want to have connection, you know, and that is, I think, the big word. And so I was like, first of all, I am a black woman, you know, I am a, you know, Latina, I am a queer minority, you know, and so I was like, celebrate no white people holidays. Like, I’m over that shape, you know, I want something that looks like me, you know, and I have always really connected with, you know, the mysticism and you know, the shadows and because that comes from our culture, you know, and so this is a beautiful goddess that represents all of these wonderful qualities, you know, femininity and, you know, relationship and connection and intimacy. And that’s weakness but also that she’s a bad or that

Angelique
you know, she got back to the African for Florida about her history.

Angie
She is not to be messed with, you know, and I think that those are all qualities that I want to embody. Those are the qualities that I want my partner’s to feel. And so I wanted something that reflected her. I wanted something that reflected that she forgot

Angelique
to cut her ear off.

Angie
Um, that was Yeah, it was

Angelique
a little coupon. That was a little cool. Okay. Yeah, it’s like, sorry, my show history is so off. It’s been so many years, but I remember, but I know she was furious. And yes,

Angie
and like because she was thought to be the most favored, you know, among obatala. You know, a lot of people a lot of other gods, as we all know, because this is all a rehashing of history. You know, it’s like the Roman gods and the Greek thing things like, you know, because she was thought to be kind of this beautiful creature. Had this control and charisma, you know, they all were very jealous of her. And, you know, she’s one of the strongest when he shows. So I believe, you know, because of that feminine energy, we understand that we can use that feminine energy for good, you know, and we can also use it for bad you know, and I think it’s about understanding that balance and that control that we have. Yeah,

John
I don’t know. I always thought the the Greek gods of Roman gods and hey, they were the ancient soul hoppers because that’s what they were

Angelique
or Russia so they’re even worse Oh

John
fuck who killed who Yeah, who’s dead and then not dead again. That was all written in the ancient and your legend came

Angie
to earth as like a deer and then ended up fucking a whole bunch of people you know, like,

John
Yeah, but I just want to put like the script for 20 years of another world. It is just the Roman gods.

Angelique
Or Neo games. You know another? What is it the show that we just finished watch

John
American Gods American

Angie
god. Oh my god. That is an amazing show.

Angelique
they canceled I want Did a while there’s a lot of trouble and drama there because they were getting rid of Nancy. I’m like, how can you get rid of Nancy now? Oh, Orlando Jones was a musician, because apparently those same producers or directors, whatever, also screwed over Gabrielle Union and her show Oh, there’s a lot more going on. So that was awesome history. There’s

Angie
a history that sucks because that show was absolute fucking amazing. Oh yeah, I mean, the old gods versus the new gods and like, you know, it was just such an incredible concept, you know, and, and then I have to go and read the damn book because I was like, I need to know what this is. And the book was just as incredible as the show, you know, and so I’m sad to see it go because it had such a representation. It has such great representation that showed all of these different gods because all of these different gods came from these different, you know, countries and cultures, you know, and we brought them with us. Yeah, and we’ve slowly forgotten them, you know, and so I think that is my tribute. That is my way to kind of pay homage to, you know my culture and also to understand that look downtimes ain’t gotta be shit. Like, it ain’t gonna look like nobody else’s shit. It could be your shit. You know what I’m saying? Like, make it your own. If it’s you want to have an orgy. Awesome. Do it be the best orgy person you can be if you want to be home and, and it’s with yourself, you know, because a lot of love in Yeah,

Angelique
do that

Angie
for so many years. That was my Valentine’s Day, I was happy. I would clean my home, I would organize my home because I felt like that’s my environment. That’s how I show myself. I love myself, you know? And so people are like, well, why’d you must because you know, people know I talk about sex all the time. But you know, they’re like, Oh my gosh, you must have had such great Valentine’s. And I’m like, you know, honestly, I spent a lot of time by myself. And I love it. And so now that I have partners, I can really enjoy it so much more because I had that time to myself. I had that time where I No need to have any of these people around. Well, you know,

John
there’s a good and a bad side to having comedies like Valentine’s Day where it’s one of those I will say forced romance but pushed to the romance and intimacy of it though, is I find a lot of couples use that almost as a well Valentine’s Day is coming. We’ll wait till then. Hell no. If you can have good sex right now

Angie
hell go find a spot and go over what you’re not

Angelique
supportive for the three times a year, you know, Valentine’s Day birthday and holiday. Christmas.

John
Have you been watching that? 1970s horror movie? Maybe 70s Oh, no, there’s been there’s this great. It’s a mock Zorro movie from the 70s. And I know it’s got a really famous guy in it. But you know, the bad villain is the guy in, in government, like the whatever the Commodore or something. And he’s constantly interacting with his wife and one day and she does something really nice and catches a bad guy or some and he grabs any holes. He goes, you know that thing we only do once a year. She’s like, yeah, you still got 30 days and drops her and walks away. Oh.

Angie
That is so wrong, man. But

Angelique
I know we just digress from the whole CBS intimacy to like

Angie
I know we’re talking about Zahra,

John
well, hey, nothing. I’m sure zero did pop.

Angie
Yeah, I mean to have the idea of running around in a mask and you know, I’ve done that switch people,

you know, you kind of have to have a little freedom in you. I think to wear a mask, you have to want to be very free. So I feel like yeah,

John
I guess the point is, I support both the impromptu sex and the planned sex because if you are going to have the the the owner case, the tools out and the outfits out and the you know, if it’s cannabis having the time, because afterwards, you’re not going to go ahead and say, hey, it’s at home. Let’s go get some food. No, you’re calling Uber Eats. Already on order cuz you ain’t going nowhere. Oh, yes. Look, so the plan sex is also a wonderful thing.

Angie
Yeah, it is. And as I think especially as you know, and I just think for myself, like having so much on my plate, you know, sometimes the plan sex is you have to make it intimate. You have to make it special and because sometimes that’s all you got, and it’s not Be like that forever. You know, I’m saying maybe this just this month, it’s like a fucking killer month, we have so much going on, let’s plan out date night, let’s plan out, you know that time to really connect with each other. And I think that can be almost as intimate to me as the unplanned impromptu because you are making a very conscious effort that you want to spend time with your partner that you cherish and you enjoy that connection and you want to have that, you know, so I think that can actually show a lot of intimacy even in those not so spontaneous moments.

John
So that’s something we push a lot for us being our busy lifestyle. One night a week is our date night. And unless there’s some real shit going down, we really need to go to we don’t reschedule. Yeah, it makes it important that we’re going to connect, and sometimes it’s sitting on the couch with a couple of Krispy kremes.

Angie
Yes,

Angelique
donuts, we’ve had events like that.

John
And other times it’s, you know, make sure that the matrix are up against the wall so that was a neighbor zone here us Oh wow

Angie
was your neighbor like with a glass up against the big like one of

John
our houses the corner house and it’s like right on that route that kids walk home from school from from the bus stop. So we respect that we are respect to the neighbors we try

Angelique
to be respectful actually time when the kids come by I’m like, okay, we can’t have sex between this time and this time I

Angie
look at that. People are responsible.

John
That’s being a considerate neighbor.

Angie
That is very true. Very, very true. I love that.

Angelique
So where can our loyal fans find you? Oh,

Angie
I love fans. Your fans are my fans. My fans are your fans. Um, like I said, I’m on Instagram. So, you know, please feel free to reach out if you have any questions about cannabis. If you have questions about sex. I’ll probably send you to john and Angela, just to be really real. I’ll probably say To them for sex. I have a website I also have a blog that I you know, try to regularly update with just different things about cannabis. You know, not just sex but intimacy and you know, kind of like navigating through the world as a as a black people. And I also will be starting a Patreon page pretty soon. It’s cheap coffee. I love it.

Angelique
Sure, the lights stay on. She’s

Angie
She’s cracking the whip. Like I like to say what’s up Like that she knows that next time blindfold me but, um, so you know and I there’s just a myriad of ways obviously Of course, if you reach out to sex positive me, they’ll be able to find me also, I can redirect you. But yeah, definitely please reach out with any questions there is no stupid questions. I love answering I love educating people and you know, helping to like D stigmatize it even a little bit, you know, I understand not every person is going to want to smoke or partake of cannabis. But I think everyone should at least have the education and not be held back by stigma and like bullshit propaganda, you know, so let’s educate ourselves and then you can make that decision. Hey, this really isn’t for me. I’m glad you haven’t. I’m glad somebody I know has it but it’s not for me. Or it could be hell yeah, I totally want to try this and I’m gonna do it in an educated safe, responsible way. So yeah, that’s

Angelique
okay everyone and you could find me at Miss Angelique Luna on social media everywhere. You could find the podcast Cast x positive me on all podcast platforms.

John

John
Well, we have workshops coming up from Orlando all the way down to Key West over the next 60 days. So we hope you stop by.

Angelique
Definitely Have a good one. Bye

Part 3

Angelique
Okay, we came back because I need to know what does what are the ingredients of this fabulous love menu?

Angie
Mm hmm. Yeah, as well, you know, the goddess ocean she is represented by the color yellow golds. Um, and so when you make offerings to her, it’s usually foods that are sweet because she’s the goddess of sweet water, which are reverse. And and so usually it’s honey and it’s Mead, which is wine. You know, so she’s known for these kind of yellow sweet foods. And so on the menu, I did a lot of foods that kind of represented those colors and obviously Of course, I’m a edibles maker. So yeah, so everything’s gonna pretty much be sweet, but I tried to kind of stay in line with that everything was golden oranges and kind of all of those beautiful colors that’ll shoot loves, you know, and so, um, so I have like a sweet potato cake. That’s one of the vegetables that she loves. Sweet potato and It’s very indicative of our culture African cultures you know so what does

Angelique
it do so we began specially

Angie
potatoes are incredible they’re anti inflammatory they’re you know, all kinds of like fiber because sometimes you know, you need that fiber in your life you know, but all of the all of the foods were kind of based off of that color scheme and that thought process of it should be beneficial and kind of like healthy for you also at the same time while you’re able to ingest cannabis. So I you know, I’m sure all of us have those experiences or maybe not, I mean, I might just be just me but you know, having like pot brownies when you were in college or you know what I’m saying like So usually, edibles are foods that are not the most healthiest for us, you know, so

Angelique
I didn’t know that because I haven’t had any edibles but you’ve had so I know

John
that for you. Honestly, I’ve had a few here and there I am and there is a time I would go ahead and smoke a little bit. It doesn’t affect To me, oh in a very weird I don’t know what it is I want to be affected. But I want to be I remember I was dating a girl for a while and she she loved the stuff had edibles her this I tried everything and I’m just sitting there going I don’t get it

Angie
and you know there are some people that are actually out there that have no reaction at all. So you are not you’re not a weirdo. There are it’s a very, very small percentage, but they are out there that their Endocannabinoid receptors just don’t it just does not you do not get high. So

Angelique
yes, usually we’re always encouraging our audience members you’re not alone. So there’s others like you and now it’s like it’s

John
just another thing to add to the list. Yeah.

I’m a very unique person we’re finding

Angie
unique we love unique people. So you know with cannabis we have you know, so that’s as far as like the food side like the culinary side of things why I wanted to keep foods in that way. I have carrot cake, sweet potato um you know I have a mango lolly I have you know salty and sweets and mango

Angelique
lolly is supposed to be a like a lollipop.

Angie
Yeah Molly’s

um, you know and so I have all of these different foods that embody those qualities that oshun loves and adores, but when it comes down to the cannabis side of it, you know, most of the foods you know are all a hybrid. So if you have never had cannabis before, you know there’s two different types of cannabis. We talked about the hemp earlier right so we know that plant is the same it’s the hemp plant and then the marijuana plant which is the cannabis plant that can get you high and in that you can also break it down to like one that’s really high in THC and one that’s not so high in THC, which again is more of a hemp derived cannabis. But even with in the plant itself of cannabis, you have types. So like for instance I use a hybrid right now in this menu and so the hybrid has kind of a little bit of both sides. So you have kind of an indigo and indicas are usually the most popular and are the ones that if you’ve ever had pot and you’ve knocked out afterwards you more than likely had an IndyCar because it’s going to put you to bed. Um, and so you know, a stoner, you know, kind of like lingo is in the car in the couch, cuz that’s what it does to you. Yeah. So you smoking into it gives you a really, really great body relaxation, it gives you a really deep kind of like ability to just super relaxed and you’re probably not gonna want to do much right. Um, then you have the other side of it, which are city buzz, and city was are not as popular as in the US, especially on the black market, just because indicas are so much more well known. So like 90% of people have had indicas right. And so that’s what people complain about. They’re like, I don’t want to have fun with and I’m gonna get really lazy and I’m not gonna but you know, you do. have other strings that you can actually smoke that are set to VA. So they’re known to be very heady. So they’re, they give you more of a cerebral high, and you become very alert and kind of like awake and very kind of like focus like laser focused with a sativa you can still have that relaxation, but the city was especially if it’s very cityville leaning will be more cerebral. And those are what you would want to take during the daytime to keep you kind of focused on your ties keep you kind of on point, not like hey, I’m just gonna want to sit here and eat this whole bag of like Cheetos, right? So, so I use a hybrid. So the hybrid has a little bit of both. So it’ll give you that kind of maybe a little bit of a head high, maybe it’ll start off really high, and then bring you down a little bit low, it could go opposite. I’m not a doctor, I am not a scientist. But as I said earlier, everyone’s body chemistry is different. Everyone’s metabolism is different. So you know you might have some variance to it, but it has a little bit of both and Honestly, leafly is your friend people if you are interested in learning a little bit more about sativas and indicas and what strains have what and what percentage because they have percentages, this plant is incredible. So, you know, you can go on there you can put a strain in there be like, Hey, I went to the dispensary, they gave me this and I want to know a little bit more, you can go plug it in, and it’ll pop up all that information. What type is it into? Is it a hybrid? Is it a sativa? How leaning is it? Because depending on how leaning is it, it’s going to be more powerful the effect like if you have a hybrid that’s more leaning to indigo, then you’re probably going to feel more of that innaka before you feel that fatigue or after you feel that’s a diva you know so it gives you all of these different things terpenes are really great also flavonoids. You know, it’s a lot that are that’s in that plant that you know, we don’t really talk about because we have this preconceived, you know, this is this is what you smell good. And then you just want to lay around all day,

Angelique
trying to get rid of that stigma that there’s more to it than meets the eye. Absolutely, absolutely. So

Angie
I use a hybrid in my, in my edibles at this point. I do try to have strains specific sometimes if I can. But that’s unfortunately just the breaks of dealing on the black market, I can always guarantee what I’m going to have. But I will always make sure that people are educated, I try to make sure that I know what it is. So then that way I can tell my customers what it is. I try to make sure I have a tester where I can do so I can tell them correct dosages, so they have the most information that I can possibly give them to make an educated decision about what they want to do and how they want to medicate. So.

Angelique
Wow. That’s a lot we’ve learned. Yeah, sorry.

John
This is a subject I am not an expert on to say the least.

Angelique
Well, neither their mind that’s why I was just intrigued to have this conversation. That’s why we kind of rewind and I’m like, wait a minute, tell me more about what it is because I know we have some of our audience members who would like to do that. Now do you offer like special events? Are dinner parties that people could come and pay? And let me try out? Because I know it’s huge on the west coast.

Angie
Yes. super huge.

John
On the west coast,

Angelique
over here in the East Coast,

Angie
yes. Micro angelico. Um, you know, I feel like we need to have more things like that we do have things items like that, and if anyone is interested, obviously, because it is not, I’m 100% above board. So, you know, we try to be mindful of that and not necessarily be like, Oh, this is what we’re gonna do. But if someone is interested in that, and you want to know more, please definitely reach out to me. Like I said, there are things going on, there’s events that you can go to there are you know, people can go and you can purchase There are all kinds of things happening all over the place. Um, you know, there are CBD dinners for some really great chefs that are doing, you know, CBD, so those are actually legal, you know, because it is CBD, as long as there’s no THC present. They can have those things No, they also are a lot of chefs are working with patients, you know, and I also offer that service like I will take your medicine and make it into an edible or make it into a dish that you can consume. You know, as I know, there are chefs doing that

John
also. Sounds awesome.

Angelique
I like that better than taking all those pills and medication. It’s like I could eat it as a nice little dessert watching my soaps. How do

John
you put all my vitamins in a cookie?

Angie
If we could figure that out? We’d be billionaires, john.

John
Oh, yes, we would. And very healthy cookie, very healthy cookie cutter.

Angie
You know. So there are lots of things out there that are happening where you can educate yourself. Once again, it’s just about taking the time and connecting yourself to the right resources. You know, I am by far not an expert in everything, but I know people that know people, so if I don’t know the answer, I know somebody, hey, this person’s definitely gonna know the answer. You know, I think it’s all just about really educating ourselves and really beginning to understand that the stuff that we’ve been fed all this time isn’t true.

John
You know, like a lot of things Unfortunately, in America,

Angie
you know, the things that we’ve been fed the things that we’ve been told the things that we’ve been marketed, because that’s all it is, is not necessarily the truth. And not necessarily right for us, you know, and I mean by you, maybe for you, you’re like, I’m just I’m never gonna want to know anything about this, I don’t care. But I can guarantee you at one point or another, someone you know, even if you are not a cannabis, you know, believer or a cannabis user is going to want or need this plant. And if you have that information, and you can share that with them, then more power to you and to them, you know, so yeah, it’s all about that education.

John
More education is never a bad thing. No,

Angie
it’s not especially in the kink community, man education is

John
everything. It all goes over the king to the BDSM to the cannabis to the sex to it all,

Angelique
you know, Roger Supremes. Yes, exactly.

John
Yeah, definitely. Definitely. So so so now we don’t

Angelique
know. We got the answer. Yeah. So you No, I must play a little princess when I want information. I’m like, I love the conversation. But I want it more.

Angie
Yeah, I got information begets more information. Yeah.

Angelique
It’s like, Don’t hate us at the editing is kind of wacky but that’s all because of me as well princess and wanting what I want. It’s Jesse Johnson now.

Angie
And once again, please reach out if anybody has any other questions, you know, information is power people.

Angelique
Yes. And we will be putting in the ocean menu on our podcast notes there so you guys could get a better idea of what the menu looks like. And that way if you’re interested in the South Florida area and would like to order her to actually

Angie
deliver ship shipping. Yes,

Angelique
Florida. Oh, I

John
didn’t know that. Florida and you want to find a place that matches what you’re doing?

Angie
Yeah, absolutely.

Angelique
Yeah. Well, that’s good to know. I would order the menu earlier.

John
Thank God I’m driving home tonight.

Angelique
Well, no We’re going to teach a class. Have a good one everyone. Love you. Bye
